  Fanzine Covers
In the early to mid 90's, I was lucky enough to have been asked to draw cover illustrations for various Quantum Leap fanzines. This is a selection of the black and white cover illustrations. I also did some colour paintings (see section below). I have to admit that I loved doing covers...mostly because that one illo alone got me a free zine! ;)

  "Oh Boy!"
Fanzine guru-of-the-day, Bill Hupe, teamed me up with two then-inexperienced zine editors named Sharon Wisdom and Sandy Hall, to work on the very first edition of a new QL zine aptly titled Oh Boy. Not only did we become fast friends, but we formed a working partnership that spanned six big issues of the zine in as many years, many of which received critical acclaim by our peers by winning the coverted Fan-Q Award for Best Zine at the annual Media West convention in Michigan. The bulk of my work appears within these pages, as both artist and writer, most noticibly in Oh Boy IV, which was/is a standalone super-novel (!) constisting a whopping 481 pages of 2-column, reduced pitch text: 22 chapters and 40-something illustrations!

  Other FicPics
Due to my success (?) with Oh Boy, I found myself in demand as an artist for other QL zines and writers of the time. This is a selection of other illos I have done for various fics and zines.

  Calendars
At one point, I was contacted by a fan publisher interested in doing a fan calendar. I was given several 'months' to do. This is the result. Oh, and I got a free calendar too!

  General Sam & Al
I just loved drawing Sam and Al. When I wasn't illustrating fics, or drawing covers or calendars, I was simply being creative with my two fave guys. Some were just portraits, other a bit more...inspired!

  Color
These are the colour painting I have done. Some have appeared as zine covers, others are standalone pieces commissioned for private individuals. My 'lifesize Al' was done as a mascot for Media West Convention, which I attended in Michigan several years running.

  Unpublished
Of course, there were some illos that never left my drawing board, either because they were not required for fics or zines, or because I simply did them for my own enjoyment. You're seeing them here for the first time anywhere.
