Some of my fave game places on the net!
- Gamespot.com
Whether you like PC or console games, Gamespot is THE place I go for all-platform game info. Doesn't matter if it's an old game, a current game, or an upcoming game, I always turn to Gamespot for the up-to-date scoop. Membership comes in two forms: paying and non-paying. Basic membership (non-paying) gets you access to all the 'Gamespaces', but not all of the content. So if you need to have the latest demo, or developer movie, or downloadable gameguide etc, then you need to be a Gamespot Complete (paying) member. I've been a member for three years now, and it's the best $30 I spend each year! Cheaper than a game magazine subscription (with demo CDs) and accessible 24/7/365. Oh, and Complete members get a 10% discount on every purchase at EBGames.com, so it pays for itself!
- EBGames.com
My fave online game store, chiefly because of the 10% discount that comes with my membership to Gamespot.com (above). Excellent shipping prices (I find 2-day Fed-Ex the best deal), reliable service, and returns can go to your local EBGames store at the mall. Since I don't have an EBGames store in any mall close to me, I love to buy my games here!
- Gamestop.com
Another good onine game store, affiliated with the Babbages computer stores that you find in the mall. Keep an eye on their site for "Stopwatch Sales" where you can pick up some extra bargains, like discounts or free shipping on the selected title/s until the clock runs out.
